David Martin, Interim Supply Pastor
David’s passion for ministry began in a small mission congregation in Lively, Ontario where he learned what it means to live the Christian faith from an Anabaptist perspective. David brings 40 years of congregational and church leadership experience to his current role at Hawkesville. He has held ministry positions at Waterloo-Kitchener United Mennonite Church in Waterloo, Hagerman Mennonite Church in Markham, Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church in Kitchener, and more recently as the Executive Minister of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada.
David believes God is calling the church to turn outward in mission and ministry to our larger world as agents of God’s peace. In his spare time, you will find David on a local curling rink, competing in the national Friar’s Briar, working out at the gym, or perhaps just out for a walk – preferably in the woods. David and Doris, have three adult children and four grandchildren.
